We're looking for an inspiring Curriculum Leader to join our team in Abingdon. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced education professional to lead a team of trainers and skills coaches, drive curriculum excellence and make a real impact on apprentice success.
The Role
As Curriculum Leader, you will play a pivotal role in delivering a high-quality apprenticeship experience, ensuring learners progress successfully from programme start through to End Point Assessment (EPA). You'll provide leadership, coaching and support to a team of Engineering Trainers and Apprenticeship Skills Coaches while working closely with employers and internal stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead, motivate and line manage a team of Engineering Trainers and Apprenticeship Skills Coaches.
- Monitor, track and report on learner progress across individual apprentices, groups and cohorts.
- Support the development of engaging and high-quality learning materials aligned to apprenticeship standards, duties and KSBs.
- Work with the Quality team to carry out Internal Quality Assurance activities and maintain high standards of delivery.
- Coach, mentor and support new members of staff.
- Collaborate with Curriculum Managers and other leaders to develop innovative and effective curriculum delivery models.
- Provide careers education, information, advice and guidance throughout the learner journey.
- Champion health, safety, safeguarding and learner wellbeing.
About You

Essential Requirements
- A recognised full teaching qualification.
- Significant experience within Further Education, Higher Education or Apprenticeship delivery.
- Assessor qualification (TAQA Level 3 or equivalent) or willingness to achieve within 12 months.
- Experience of curriculum management and learner performance monitoring.
- Strong understanding of apprenticeship standards and End Point Assessment.
- Excellent communication, leadership and stakeholder management skills.
- Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel nationally when required.
Desirable
- Internal Verifier qualification (TAQA Level 4 or equivalent).
- Engineering industry knowledge or experience.
- Qualification at Level 3 or above.
