Digital Services is a strategic enabler within the MTC, ensuring the business is supported by secure, reliable, and innovative technology solutions. The department is responsible for the planning, implementation and smooth running of all digital infrastructure, working collaboratively across the organisation to maximise productivity and support digital transformation.
Our key functions include:
- Service Desk & End-User Support – onboarding, technical support and modern workplace services.
- Infrastructure & Operations – ensuring availability and performance of hardware, networks, servers and cloud services.
- Cybersecurity – safeguarding systems and data to ensure compliance and protect against threats.
- Enterprise Applications – managing ERP and other business applications.
- Governance & Project Delivery – ensuring compliance, policy alignment and effective project execution.
The Opportunity
We are looking for a Senior Network Engineer to join our Infrastructure & Operations team. This is a crucial role responsible for supporting, architecting and developing MTC’s multi-site network infrastructure (LAN/WAN/Wi-Fi). You will ensure secure, reliable service delivery for internal and external stakeholders, while contributing to continuous improvement initiatives and high technical standards.

Key Responsibilities
You will:
- Architect, design, implement and support network solutions across all MTC sites.
- Maintain and troubleshoot core services including DNS, DHCP, RADIUS, NAC, routing, VLANs and VPNs.
- Ensure high availability, resilience and performance within the network environment.
- Collaborate with internal teams and third‑party suppliers to deliver projects and resolve incidents.
- Accurately document network configurations, standards and procedures.
- Participate in change control activities and contribute to continuous improvement.
About You
Essential Experience & Skills
- Strong hands-on experience with enterprise networking environments.
- Experience with HPE Aruba and Fortinet technologies (preferred).
- Deep understanding of network protocols and technologies such as EVPN‑VXLAN, OSPF and BGP.
- Experience using operational monitoring tools.
- Able to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
- Demonstrates integrity, ownership, leadership and alignment with MTC values.
- Comfortable supporting a large, multi-site user base (~1,000 users).
- Significant experience working in regulated and secure environments.
Preferred Qualifications
- Knowledge of cloud networking (particularly Azure).
- Degree in Network Engineering, Computer Science or related field.
- Industry certifications such as ACNP (Aruba), NSE4 (Fortinet).
- ITIL4 Foundation or above.
- Experience delivering enterprise-level network projects.
- Strong understanding of network architecture including segmentation, HA and security best practices.
