The Role

As a Quality Technician, you will be responsible for maintaining and improving workshop quality systems, ensuring compliance with quality standards, and supporting a strong culture of continuous improvement.

Working closely with Manufacturing Engineers, workshop teams and key stakeholders, you'll help drive quality performance through audits, non-conformance management, root cause analysis and process improvement initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support and reinforce compliance with quality standards, accreditations and workshop procedures.
  • Maintain workshop quality systems, including document control and calibration records.
  • Manage and coordinate non-conformance activities through to effective resolution.
  • Facilitate robust root cause investigations and corrective actions.
  • Plan and conduct internal quality audits and monitor action completion.
  • Track and report on key quality metrics and performance indicators.
  • Identify trends and improvement opportunities to enhance operational effectiveness.
  • Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to ensure quality requirements are met.
  • Promote a positive quality culture focused on accountability, learning and continuous improvement. 

About You

We're looking for someone who enjoys working in a hands-on manufacturing or engineering environment and takes pride in getting things right.

Essential Requirements

  • Experience within a manufacturing, engineering or workshop environment.
  • Understanding of quality systems and compliance frameworks such as ISO 9001.
  • Experience supporting non-conformance management and problem-solving activities.
  • Knowledge of quality assurance processes and internal audits.
  • Strong organisational and planning skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail.
  • Effective communication and relationship-building abilities.
  • Ability to work independently and take ownership of tasks.
