We are looking for a skilled and motivated Additive Manufacturing Technician to join our Additive Manufacturing team in Coventry. This is an exciting opportunity to work with state-of-the-art additive manufacturing technologies, supporting the delivery of innovative projects across a range of high-value sectors.
About the Role
As an Additive Manufacturing Technician, you will play a key role in supporting the end-to-end delivery of additive manufacturing activities, from receiving customer work requests through to production, post-processing and final delivery. You'll work with advanced metal and polymer additive manufacturing systems while ensuring the highest standards of quality, safety and process control.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and progress work requests through the production lifecycle, ensuring accurate documentation and timely delivery.
- Operate and maintain a range of additive manufacturing equipment, including technologies such as DMLS, MJF, FDM and MBJ.
- Conduct in-process inspections and quality checks to ensure products meet specification and customer requirements.
- Carry out post-processing activities, including support removal and surface finishing.
- Maintain compliance with health and safety procedures, risk assessments and PPE requirements.
- Work collaboratively with engineers, project managers and quality teams to support successful project delivery.
- Maintain accurate production records, machine logs and quality documentation.
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives, root cause analysis and process development activities.
About You
We're looking for a hands-on manufacturing professional with a passion for advanced technologies and a commitment to quality and operational excellence.
Essential Requirements
- Experience operating metal and/or polymer additive manufacturing equipment.
- Strong understanding of manufacturing process control and quality assurance.
- Ability to interpret technical drawings and CAD files.
- Knowledge of health and safety requirements within a manufacturing environment.
- Excellent attention to detail, problem-solving and communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a collaborative team.
Desirable
- NVQ Level 3 or equivalent qualification in Engineering, Manufacturing or a related discipline.
- Experience across both metal and polymer additive manufacturing technologies.
