The Vacancy
We are looking for a Manufacturing Engineer – Casting Technical Specialist to join the High Temperature Research Centre (HTRC) in Coventry. The HTRC is a unique collaboration between the Manufacturing Technology Centre (MTC), the University of Birmingham, and Rolls-Royce, bringing together world-class manufacturing capabilities, cutting-edge research, and industry-leading expertise.
This is an exciting opportunity to work at the forefront of aerospace manufacturing, supporting the design, development, and manufacture of advanced turbine components while helping to develop the next generation of casting technologies.
About the Role
As a Manufacturing Engineer specialising in Single Crystal Investment Casting, you will play a key role in delivering research, development, and continuous improvement projects that support both current and future turbine component manufacture. You will work closely with manufacturing engineers, design engineers, researchers, project teams, customers, suppliers, and Rolls-Royce foundry specialists to develop innovative manufacturing solutions and improve existing processes.
You'll be responsible for driving technical excellence, improving manufacturing capability, and acting as a subject matter expert within your specialist area.
