Facilities Maintenance Technician (Plumbing Biased)

This is a Permanent, Full Time vacancy that will close in {x} days at {xx:xx} BST.

As an Estates Maintenance Technician, you'll support the Maintenance Operations Manager in delivering planned and reactive maintenance across our facilities. Key responsibilities include:

  • Carrying out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and breakdown repairs on plant and facility equipment.
  • Performing weekly flushing and monthly temperature testing as part of legionella management procedures.
  • Diagnosing faults and troubleshooting mechanical and facility-related issues.
  • Responding to maintenance requests and emergency breakdowns across site.
  • Working closely with contractors to ensure maintenance and repair activities are completed safely and to MTC standards.
  • Completing statutory inspections and maintaining accurate service reports and maintenance records.
  • Using CAFM systems to manage and update work orders.
  • Supporting continuous improvement and problem-solving activities across the maintenance function. 

What We're Looking For

Essential Requirements

  • Previous experience in a maintenance position.
  • Relevant Level 3 qualification in a related discipline.
  • Strong practical maintenance and fault-finding skills.
  • Ability to work at height.
  • Full UK Driving Licence.
  • Flexibility to participate in a 24/7 standby rota for emergency call-outs.
  • Ability to read and interpret mechanical and electrical schematics.
  • Positive attitude with a willingness to learn and develop. 

Desirable

  • Knowledge of boilers and water treatment systems, including maintenance and repair.
  • IOSH Working Safely qualification.
