We have a fantastic opportunity for an experienced People Partner – Talent & Learning & Development to join our People team.

As our People Partner – Talent, you will be the subject matter expert on all things learning, development, and talent strategy, working closely with senior leaders and People Business Partners to ensure we have the right people capabilities to meet our ambitious goals.

This is not a traditional L&D role you’ll be designing innovative learning solutions, championing cultural transformation, and building an environment where continuous learning, talent mobility and developing future‑ready skills are part of everyday life.

 

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Partnering with People Business Partners and senior leaders to translate business strategy into practical talent and learning solutions.
  • Designing and delivering leadership and functional development programmes for senior and high‑potential employees.
  • Supporting talent management activities including talent reviews, succession planning and development pathways for future readiness
  • Championing fresh, creative approaches—leveraging digital tools, microlearning, and personalised learning experiences.
  • Using data and analytics to measure the impact of initiatives and drive continuous improvement.
  • Embedding a culture of learning across the organisation, promoting curiosity, collaboration and knowledge sharing.
  • Facilitating cross-functional development opportunities to uncover and accelerate talent.
  • Managing budgets and prioritising talent activity to ensure maximum impact.

 

Who are we looking for

 

This role will suit an experienced learning and development professional with experience of creating and designing innovative learning initiatives. Preferably in a technology, manufacturing or engineering business.

 

You’ll also have

  • Proven track record in designing, implementing innovative and creative technical, management and leadership programmes, delivering effective change to the business that underpin behavioural and cultural change.
  • Dynamic problem-solving skills with the ability to implement effective solutions.
  • Skilled in managing stakeholders at all levels, especially senior leaders, to drive results.
  • Commercial mindset, demonstrating an ability to deliver programmes that meet business needs in line with the MTC strategy.
  • Strong understanding of learning theories and how these translate into learning solutions, including the effective use of learning technologies.
  • Confident, resilient, enthusiastic, and an excellent team player.
  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite, Learning Management Systems, and working knowledge of D365.
  • Ability to prioritize, manage, and complete projects with tight deadlines.
  • Ability to adapt well to fast-paced environments with changing circumstances, direction, and strategy.
  • Desire to thrive in a dynamic, growing environment.
  • Ability to actively use metrics and training data to track and manage impact of training efforts.
  • Communication and influencing skills, with the ability to communicate effectively and credibly both verbally and in writing with audiences across levels.
  • Strong knowledge of and experience with performance and talent management.
