This is a Permanent, Full Time vacancy that will close in {x} days at {xx:xx} BST.

The Governance and Assurance Team are looking for a skilled Quality Control Engineer to join their team, based in Coventry.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Produce demonstrable evidence in a QC graded structure including 100% oversight and inspection.
  •  Lead internal audits and participate in external audits.
  • Providing resolution to internal and external quality issues through effective root cause analysis and the development of action plans with relevant stakeholders.
  • Develop and implement quality control procedures and policies.
  • Perform output testing, analysis, and inspection to identify defects and improve quality management systems.
  • Collaborate with process owners to identify areas for process improvement.
  • Create and maintain documentation related to quality control processes and results in line with MTC and customer specific requirements.
  • Provide training to sector staff on quality control procedures and standards.

Person Specification

Essential Skills/Qualifications/Experience

  • Good working knowledge of Quality Management and the effective adoption of ISO 9001 & AS9100
  • Understand of customer journey and experience.
  • Quality planning and relevant standards e.g. AQAP.
  • Good numeracy skills: confident working with numbers and data
  • Excellent presentation skills.
  • Auditing best practice.

Desirable Skills/Qualifications/Experience

  • Background in civil nuclear/aerospace quality management systems.
  • Significant experience in an analogous role.
  • Degree level education.
  • A high degree of personal motivation.
  • The ability to work in a matrix management structure, embedded in a dynamic R+D environment.
  • Competent auditor
  • Ability to lead and manage change
